Senior Scientist, Protein Biochemistry

CK Group are recruiting for an experienced Senior Protein Scientist, with a background in protein atomic structures and modelling, to join a growing biotechnology company based in London on a permanent basis.

The Company:

A global biotech company specialising within the field of immuno-oncology.

Location:

London.

The Role:

This is a lab-based role and a great opportunity to contribute to the innovation of all aspects of the company s pipeline and platforms, and to be involved in design and execution of experiments in the areas of antibody discovery/characterisation and pre-clinical development, furthering product discovery and development projects. You will also be involved in other laboratory activities.

Your Background:

• PhD in biological/ biochemical science, with experience across academia and biotechnology industry (5 years+).
• Understanding of the biologic product discovery and antibody pre-clinical development process.
• Extensive experience and expertise in protein biochemistry.
• Experience in the detailed analysis of protein atomic structures and modelling
• Experience in determining atomic structures of macromolecules is highly desirable.
• Strong drug discovery background.
• Technical skills in the following: protein purification using AKTA and downstream analyses, protein expression from bacterial and mammalian host cells, construct design
• Experience using an Octet or SPR systems and a mammalian cell bioreactor (DESIRABLE).
