Flint Technology Services is looking for a JavaScript/TypeScript Developer with required UKIC DV Clearance to join one of our telco customers based in Cheltenham. In this role, you will utilize your TypeScript/JavaScript expertise with frameworks like React to lead projects, create innovative tooling, and engage in release activities using DevOps toolsets. You will share your knowledge and advocate for new technologies within our team and with our customers.

What you’ll do:

• Develop capabilities primarily using TypeScript/JavaScript and frameworks such as React.
• Lead parts of the project, depending on your experience and aspirations.
• Create a mix of Front End and Back End tooling.
• Participate in release activities, utilizing DevOps toolsets.
• Advocate for new technologies and foster a culture of knowledge sharing.
• Ensure best practices in system design, code, and documentation.
• Learn and enhance your skills in Elastic Stack, Kubernetes Clusters, and more.

What you’ll bring:

• A strong background in Capability Development using TypeScript/JavaScript.
• Experience in a DevOps team, deploying with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Leadership in large work segments, either independently or with a team.
• A passion for advocating technologies and promoting a learning culture.
• Experience in managing customer relationships, with opportunities for face-to-face and virtual engagement.

Desirable skills:

• Proficiency in JavaScript ES6+, TypeScript, and Front End development with frameworks like React.
• Familiarity with other JavaScript frameworks and languages such as Python, Ruby, Bash, Node.js.
• Experience with code development and management best practices using Git and Visual Studio Code.
• Experience in operating Rancher, OpenShift, or OKD for Kubernetes cluster management.
• Knowledge of orchestration tools and Elastic Stack technologies.

Additional experience:

• Linux system administration, especially with Big Data Platforms.
• System monitoring and patching.
• Data streaming and message broker technologies.
