Contract Transformation Architect with OSS Telco experience for an initial 6 month contract. Must be UK based within easy reach of West London. This role is based onsite in Hammersmith 1-2 days per week and the rest remote working. Must have right to work in the UK.
Job Description:
Reporting to the Head of Digital Network Architecture, the primary responsibility of the Transformation Architect is to architect and deliver critical capabilities that make up our Digital End State Architecture. This role will own the Architecture of each strategic end state capability and drive the High-Level Architecture, Design, Development, Delivery and Operationalisation of each capability. This role will drive the creation of a lean and modern ecosystem of technologies that enables us to be a more modern and agile organisation.
Lastly a key part of the role is to focus on driving Transformation Best Practices across Plan, Provide and Assure pillars ensuring that we enable Cost Reduction, Increase Revenue, and support Technology Evolution. The role is key for shaping our developing OSS architecture around the goals of the business and supporting its future.
Responsibilities:
Document, Define and Architect current state, help end state and transition state Architectures.
Create well-defined, reusable, and self-serve EA Patterns for Digital Products and Platforms.
Application Architecture Patterns to build agile, lasting, effective, and usable applications.
Privacy Patterns to keep customer information safe from hackers, compliance breaches and leaks
Security Patterns to ensure products/platforms are built with strong defences against cyber attacks
Data Frameworks to ensure data we use is reliable and correct.
Ensuring Systems and Tools comply with architectural principles, frameworks, and defined transformation plan (via the appropriate cross CIO / CTO /CDO governance forums).
Defining operating model and optimal business process flows illustrating how our strategic applications and integrations will drive optimised usage and effective implementations.
Identifying Application Consolidation opportunities, creating, and maintaining a ‘consolidation plan’.
Bring old applications up to date with the latest technology or retire them
Make our application ecosystem easier to manage by combining and streamlining applications
Make sure our ecosystem can adapt to future changes and technologies
Developing and owning the 3-year, 5 year and 10-year roadmap for each of our capabilities.
Leading and supporting various RFI/RFPs. Leading Proof of Concept / Trial activities to validate new capabilities.
Support our Benefits Charter to record and track tangible and intangible benefits of our transformation activities.
Ensure that we capture and manage the interplay between CIO, CTO and CDO when it comes to key initiatives and re-use as much as we can.
Participate in various architecture review boards and governance forums.
