Job Purpose:

My client is seeking a Project Delivery Telecom Technician to support the execution of a major telephony transformation project. The technician will be responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of technical components within the project, meeting defined constraints related to scope, quality, time, and cost. The role focuses on driving the technical transformation to achieve the benefits outlined in the project s investment case.

The Project Delivery Telecom Technician will manage the implementation of technical changes, with project values ranging from £1k to over £1,000k, working as part of a matrix-managed project team.

Principal Accountabilities:

• Lead the delivery of multiple technical telecom changes within the telephony transformation project.
• Apply established methodologies and enforce project delivery standards.
• Prepare for engagement reviews and quality assurance processes.
• Minimize risks and exposure throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure all project documentation is complete, current, and properly stored.
• Deliver technical changes within the allocated budget.
• Communicate progress effectively with the project team, portfolio board, and project sponsor.
• Identify opportunities for improvement and provide constructive suggestions for change.

Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications, and Experience:

• Extensive experience in delivering Technical Telecom changes, including but not limited to:
• Installation of telephony systems and structured wiring.
• Fault resolution in office environments and substations.
• Upgrading analogue landline phones to digital systems.
• Router upgrades.
• Installation and testing of Wi-Fi systems.
• Coordination with BT and third-party access providers.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven ability to engage and manage stakeholder relationships.
• Highly self-motivated with a strong results-oriented mindset.
• Demonstrated experience in budget control and financial planning.
• Proficiency in project planning and execution.

Nature and Scope:
This role involves the delivery of multiple small to medium-sized telecom changes within the broader telephony transformation project. The technician will be responsible for the effective implementation of technical changes and managing cross-dependencies with various business units, requiring significant stakeholder engagement.
