We are seeking an experienced Python Consultant with a strong background in software development and a deep understanding of Python frameworks and API design. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in building robust applications, implementing unit testing, and deploying scalable solutions using containerisation technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality software solutions using Python.
• Architect and implement APIs, including RESTful APIs, ConfAPIs, and FastAPIs, ensuring they meet industry standards for performance and security.
• Utilise Python frameworks such as Django and Flask to create scalable and maintainable web applications.
• Perform comprehensive unit testing to ensure software quality and reliability.
• Leverage containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes to deploy and manage applications in cloud environments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers, helping them grow their skills.
• Stay up to date with the latest industry trends, tools, and technologies to continually enhance the team’s capabilities.

Required Skills and Experience

• Software Background: Extensive experience in software development with a strong focus on Python.
• Object-Oriented Programming (OOP): Proficiency in OOP principles and practices.
• Unit Testing: Strong experience with Python unit testing frameworks such as unittest, pytest, etc.
• Python Frameworks: Deep understanding of Django and Flask for building web applications.
• API Development: Expertise in designing and implementing RESTful APIs, ConfAPIs, and FastAPIs.
• Containers: Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration.
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot and solve complex issues.
