On behalf of Tesco Bank, AMS are now looking for a IBM/AWS Senior Systems Engineer (Automation) based in Edinburgh (1-2 days per month in the office) for an initial contract length of 6 months.

Key responsibilities:

• Facilitate end-to-end file transfer journeys across third-party vendors using IBM Sterling suite products and AWS.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure and application code, ensuring seamless integration with AWS services and IBM Secure Proxy.
• Route traffic efficiently, build out templates, and facilitate file delivery for project success.
• Collaborate with team members to deliver high-quality infrastructure and application solutions, ensuring all project requirements are met.
• Manage and support the infrastructure stack, leveraging AWS components like EC2, RDS, and S3.
• Transition infrastructure to cloud-based environments, incorporating containerisation with Kubernetes and Scripting with Terraform.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Experience working as infrastructure/system engineer, with a strong background in AWS and IBM Sterling suite products.
• Experience with CI/CD Workflows (Jenkins would be ideal)
• Extensive experience in AWS services, including EC2, RDS, S3, and knowledge of cloud deployment strategies.
• Experience with IBM Secure Proxy and direct connect for file transfer processes.
• Good Scripting knowledge and experience with infrastructure as code tools, Terraform experience would be ideal.
• Proven ability to facilitate project delivery, ensuring all file interactions and traffic routing are handled efficiently.
• Experience with Terraform and Ansible.
