Do you enjoy transforming data into actionable insights andtaking data-driven approach to solving complex business problems?Amazon Fresh is looking for a pro-active Business IntelligenceEngineer with strong technical and analytical skills. We arecurrently looking for a BIE to be located in London who will workwith partners in the UK In-stock Managementteam.
Knowledge of In-Stock Managementprocesses preferred but not mandatory.
Key jobresponsibilities
– Design, implement, and support keyin-stock datasets that provide structured and timely access toactionable business information addressing stakeholderneeds.
– Dive deep into In-Stock processes such as shrinkmanagement or availability tracking, working with experiencedIn-Stock Managers to troubleshoot issues and build bespokereports.
– Design, develop and maintain scaled,automated, user-friendly systems, reports, dashboards, etc. thatwill support our business needs.
– Participate indeveloping BIE roadmaps. Interface directly with customers andstakeholders, gathering requirements and supporting end-to-endreporting solutions.
– Participate in developingdepartment KPI’s and operational metrics to drive improvements inautomation and robotics projects
– Develop complexqueries for ad-hoc requests and projects, as well as ongoingreporting.
– Deep dive into large data sets to answer keybusiness questions using SQL, Excel, and other data manipulationlanguages.
– Maintain data integrity, perform QA Auditsand diligently troubleshoot issues.
– Continually improveongoing reporting and analysis processes, while automating orsimplifying self-service support and access to authoritative datasets.
– Generate daily, weekly, and monthly data reportsfor both internal and external business reviews.
-Respond with urgency to high priority requests from senior businessleaders.
About the team
WithinInternational Amazon Fresh, AIS (Analytics, Insights and Science)strives to empower decision-making with actionable insights acrossbanners. The team intentionally balances delivering value quickly(Minimum Lovable Products/P0), while driving for self-service. Wepartner with WW analytics teams to scale our work and de-duplicateefforts by working away. The team prioritises big rocks every 6months whilst retaining a year-round SIM intake for emerginginitiatives along with providing on-call and office hours for ourstakeholders.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS -Experience in analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift,Oracle, NoSQL etc.
– Experience with data visualizationusing Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
– Experiencewith one or more industry analytics visualization tools (e.g.Excel, Tableau, QuickSight, MicroStrategy, PowerBI) and statisticalmethods (e.g. t-test, Chi-squared)
– Experience withSQL
– Experience in the data/BIspace
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS -Master’s degree, or Advanced technical degree
– Knowledgeof data modeling and data pipeline design
– Experiencewith statistical analysis, co-relationanalysis
