Opticore IT is currently seeking a Network Architect to join our Broadcast Media client, ensuring their Cloud and on-premise platforms are fit for purpose. You will be part of our dynamic team, based in the London area, working two days a week.

Opticore IT is a rapidly expanding specialist Network Engineer and Project Management consultancy, offering diverse opportunities within fast-paced, challenging environments across sectors such as Finance, Broadcast Media, Telecommunications, and more.

What you’ll be doing:

1. Re-implement and integrate the client’s News network. This is a large, multi-year project involving 10-11 News locations across the UK, starting with Bristol.
2. Report to UK Technology Architecture to ensure solutions align with design principles and operational models.
3. Oversee the design and high-level integration of NDI/SRT video.

What you’ll bring:

1. Operating at a CCIE level.
2. Experience delivering multicast projects.
3. Strong knowledge of switching and routing, with specific expertise in BGP.
4. Relevant industry exposure in the Network space.
5. Security knowledge (Palo Alto, Checkpoint, Cisco ASA, Fortinet) and familiarity with authentication services like Cisco ISE.
6. Excellent communication skills to translate technical requirements for non-technical stakeholders.
7. Experience deploying wide-area networks supporting high-bandwidth workflows.
