Computer Systems and Network Technologist

Location: Eastside Secondary School (based out of)

Schedule: 40 Hours per week

Salary: $28.97 – $35.04 per hour (includes comprehensive benefits such as extended health and dental, life insurance, health care spending account, participation in the OMERS pension plan, and competitive vacation and sick leave)

The Hastings and Prince Edward District School Board (HPEDSB) serves approximately 15,400 students daily across 39 schools, including elementary, K-12, and secondary institutions. The district covers 7,220 square kilometres, featuring a mix of small cities, villages, rural landscapes, and access to outdoor activities and cultural attractions.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, repair, troubleshoot, and maintain educational and networking infrastructure technology.
• Provide support and training to technology users within the district.

Qualifications

• Three-year college diploma in computer engineering technology, computer science, or a related field.
• Over two years of related experience with software, networks, and operating systems used in the district.
• Effective communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize work, manage time effectively, and demonstrate problem-solving skills.

Additional Requirements

• Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle for travel within the district.
