• Front-End Developer
• £30,000 to £45,000 (37.5hr week, flexible working – core hours of 10-4pm, + great benefits)
• Hybrid/Swansea SA1 postcode/just off M4 everyone in the office on a Tuesday, otherwise remote (commuters from Cardiff, West Wales, Breacon, Swansea)

We are seeking a Front-End Developer to join an expanding tech business with offices in Swansea, London and overseas. Their globally recognised product used by Tier 1 and Tier 2 banks, amongst other household named organisations, is high in demand so there is a need to increase the Front-End capabilities within this cross-functional team (back-end developers, full stack developers, testers, Bas, PMs and product owners).

Reporting into the Head of Engineering you will join a team that delivers a uniquely human-friendly digital platform that focuses on the customer experience.

Key Responsibilities as a Front-End Developer

• Working collaboratively in sprints to design solutions that provide better user experiences
• Utilising frontend technologies such as Angular to develop and maintain the platform
• Implementing client-side code to provide a better user experience using frameworks or bespoke code

Essential Experience and Skills as a Front-End Developer

• Ability to write maintainable and structured bespoke code/frameworks
• In depth knowledge of web development using frontend tech such as HTML, JavaScript and CSS
• Familiar using version control systems (GIT & Azure)
• Background working within an agile collaborative environment

Desirable Skills/Knowledge

You must be able to work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team and have a strong desire to be constantly learning and developing. Knowledge and experience with any of the below is advantageous:

JQuery and AJAX. • Good knowledge of SQL Server databases and SQL queries. • Experience using ORMs • NHibernate. • React • ASP.NET WebAPI. • KnockoutJS. • Sass for CSS generation. • Accessibility standards. • TDD, NUnit and Rhino Mocks. • UI automation testing. • GIT or Azure and Branch-per-Feature strategies. • CI services such as TeamCity. • Win32 API and P/Invoke.
