SALARY: £68,202 – £75,780
LOCATION(S): Leeds
HOURS: Full-time
WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at our office location.

We are looking for a Senior Web Application Firewall Engineer with the potential, passion and an aim to embark on their journey within Cyber.

Delivering a Web Application Security solutions with WAF and RASP provides our team opportunities to expand our own personal and professional skillsets.
Key responsibilities:
Assisting the Web Application Security Product Owner providing specialist advice and guidance within an Agile environment.
Communicate tactfully with customers; assemble and present information, providing diagnostic and resolution steps and conveying process and product guidance
Providing technical support for incidents, problems and changes
Continuously increase knowledge and help train the team on Web Application Security
Contribute to product documentation, knowledge base, and bank standards
Continuously improve processes and tools in collaboration with the team
This is an operational role and there is a requirement to Support out of hours services through the On-Call rota. (This has additional Compensation)
Effective communicator who can translate complex processes, risks and ensure WAS issues are understood by business colleagues and senior leaders.

What you’ll need
Well-rounded knowledge and hands on experience of cloud platforms, ideally with either professional / Associate certified
Shown systematic, logical and creative thinking skills
Evidence of passion for developing and implementing new insights and solutions
Methodical and detail orientated approach, capable of prioritising and handling multiple tasks
Ability to communicate effectively in a variety of situations
An awareness and understanding of risk, controls and the associated impact
Experienced user of Web Application Security tooling to deliver applications and infrastructure
Consumption or operational experience of Cloud Armour and or Azure App Gateway in a production environment
And any experience of these would be really useful
Ideally, you’ll have acquired an internet security/networking background (i.e. CISCO certification).
Incident support and change experience would also be extremely desirable.
